സഗ്രേബ്: ക്രൊയേഷ്യയുടെ പ്രസിഡന്റായി സോറന്‍ മിലനോവിച്ച് വീണ്ടും തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. രണ്ടാം ഘട്ട വോട്ടെടുപ്പില്‍ ഭരണകക്ഷിയിലെ ഡ്രഗന്‍ പ്രിമറോക്കിനെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. പോള്‍ ചെയ്തതില്‍ 74% വോട്ട് മിലനോവിച്ച് നേടി.

പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ആന്രെ്ദ പ്ളങ്കോവിച്ചിനെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കണ്‍സര്‍വേറ്റീവ് പാര്‍ട്ടിയെയും രൂക്ഷമായി വിമര്‍ശിക്കുന്ന മിലനോവിച്ചിന് ആദ്യഘട്ടം തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ വജയത്തിനാവശ്യമായ 50% വോട്ട് ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല്‍ വോട്ട് ലഭിച്ച 2 സ്ഥാനാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കായി രണ്ടാം ഘട്ട വോട്ടെടുപ്പു നടത്തി. ഇതില്‍ പ്രതിപക്ഷത്തിന്റെ കൂടി പിന്തുണ ആര്‍ജിച്ചാണ് അദ്ദേഹം വീണ്ടും തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.

ജനപ്രിയ നേതാവായ മിലനോവിച്ച് യൂറോപ്യന്‍ യൂണിയന്റെയും നാറ്റോ സഖ്യത്തിന്റെയും കടുത്ത വിമര്‍ശകനാണ്. യുക്രെയ്ന്‍റഷ്യ യുദ്ധത്തില്‍ രാജ്യം യുക്രെയ്നിനെ പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്നതിനെ മിലനോവിച്ച് ശക്തമായി എതിര്‍ത്തിരുന്നു. മിലനോവിച്ച് നേരത്തേ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായും സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിരുന്നു.
